The Paradise Republican Women’s Club (PRWC) was founded in 1968 by women committed to advancing Republican values, conservative leadership, and civic engagement in Arizona, Scottsdale, Paradise Valley, and North Phoenix.
From its earliest days, PRWC has been more than a social organization. It is a trusted gathering place for Republican women who want to stay informed, connected, and actively involved in local and state politics.
In 1994, PRWC became affiliated with the Arizona Federation of Republican Women, linking our members to a robust statewide and national network of Republican women leaders. In 2007, PRWC expanded through the merger with the Las Rancheros Republican Women’s Club, strengthening our voice and reach throughout Maricopa County.
PRWC members have served their communities at every level — including city councils, school boards, county offices, state leadership, Congress, and national conventions. Our club has long been a place where Republican women in Scottsdale, Paradise Valley, and North Phoenix come together to lead, learn, and make an impact.
When you join PRWC, you become part of a respected community of Republican women who:
Whether you are newly engaged in politics or have years of experience, PRWC offers connection, credibility, and a meaningful way to be involved locally.
Rooted in local leadership. United by conservative values. Focused on the future of our communities.

A Century of Conservative Leadership, Advocacy, and Impact
Founded in 1924, the Arizona Federation of Republican Women (AzFRW) is one of the oldest and most influential Republican women’s organizations in Arizona. For more than a century, AzFRW has played a pivotal role in advancing conservative values, Republican leadership, grassroots activism, and civic engagement across the state.
AzFRW was established under the leadership of Mrs. J.L.B. (Amanda) Alexander, a Phoenix resident and national political pioneer. In 1924, Mrs. Alexander served as a voting delegate to the Republican National Convention in Cleveland, Ohio—making history as one of only 118 women delegates among 1,109 total delegates nationwide.
Recognizing the need for organized Republican women at the state level, Mrs. Alexander called together women from across Arizona to form a unified political force. That historic meeting led to the creation of the Arizona Women’s Republican Club, with Mrs. Alexander serving as its first President—laying the foundation for what would become a powerful statewide federation.
In 1940, AzFRW formally joined the National Federation of Republican Women (NFRW), strengthening Arizona’s voice on the national political stage. The organization received its official National Charter in 1942, signed by NFRW founder Marion Martin and first NFRW President Joyce Arneill, affirming Arizona’s leadership within the national Republican women’s movement.
Arizona continued to shape Republican history by hosting the first National Federation of Republican Women Advisory Board Meeting in 1950. The state later welcomed the NFRW Biennial Conventions in 1985 and 2015, held in Phoenix and Scottsdale, further cementing Arizona’s role as a hub for Republican policy leadership, political strategy, and grassroots mobilization.
For over 100 years, the Arizona Federation of Republican Women has empowered women to lead, organize, and influence elections, championing limited government, individual liberty, fiscal responsibility, and constitutional values.
AzFRW’s legacy is not just historical—it is active, influential, and future-focused, continuing to shape Arizona’s political landscape and the next generation of Republican women leaders.

Founded in 1938, the National Federation of Republican Women is the largest grassroots Republican women’s organization in the country with tens of thousands of active members across the nation.
We empower women from all backgrounds in the political process and provide a forum for women to serve as leaders in the political, government and civic arenas. We work to promote the principles, objectives and policies of the Republican Party; elect Republican candidates; inform the public through political education and activity; and, increase the effectiveness of women in the cause of good government.
Through our diversity of age, culture, opinion and experience, women are the strength of 21st century American politics. Believing that this rich tapestry is what makes us strong, the NFRW unites women as a collective force to positively impact the direction of our nation while also advancing the power of women through political access and participation.
The NFRW offers information, programs and privileges to members while drawing on their collective talents, ideas and desire to participate. From career professionals, students and teachers to elected officials, small business owners and mothers, we attract women from all walks of life.
When a Republican woman becomes a member of the Federation, she has access to an array of programs and benefits which help her become an effective leader and volunteer in a variety of arenas and support grassroots efforts in electing Republicans.
